Issues

For Elizabeth Moro, there’s always room at the table to work together to find solutions to the challenges we face. The best ideas don’t come from behind closed doors, they come from around the table.

The problem is, as prices continue to rise and healthcare becomes even more unaffordable, our leaders in Harrisburg just aren’t listening.

That’s why Elizabeth is inviting each of us to pull up a chair so we can get to work making life better and more affordable for our community.

That means:

Defending Our Rights and Freedoms

Pennsylvania is the birthplace of our democracy. Our state history is rich with examples of individuals who sacrificed everything to ensure our liberties. Every day we feel the pressure of the attacks on our rights and freedoms. State and local governments are the frontlines to defending our right to vote, our reproductive freedom, and our civil democracy. As she shares in her book, "The Civil Graces Project," Elizabeth understands that these rights are fundamental to who we are as Americans—and she’s dedicated to protecting them.

Setting Our Kids Up for Success

Elizabeth believes that every day is an opportunity to work towards a bright future for our kids. As a mom, she knows the value of public education—when it is strong for all children, we all benefit.

That’s why she’s committed to ensuring fair education funding so that every child receives access to the resources of a great education, no matter their zip code. She will also work to ensure higher education is affordable and expand job training and skilled trades programs so that the next generation has the tools they need to build a stronger Pennsylvania.

Improving Our Healthcare

No one should have to drain their bank account or go into debt to be seen by a doctor for preventative care and when they're sick. As a self-employed individual, Elizabeth understands the costs and challenges of finding reliable healthcare. With hospitals like Crozer-Chester Medical Center shutting down, our local hospitals are feeling the strain. Elizabeth understands the connection between mental and physical health and will work to reduce the price of prescription drugs, make sure our hospitals are properly staffed and funded, and that those who provide healthcare receive the support that they need.

Building More Affordable Housing

Our community is a great place to live, work, and raise a family—but for many, housing costs are too high. Using her experience as a licensed PA Real Estate Broker, Elizabeth will work to increase housing supply, protect renters, and support tax policies that help reduce housing costs while supporting sensible development.

Strengthening Our Local Economy

As a small business owner, Elizabeth knows that everything is more expensive these days: eggs, coffee, utilities—and it’s making it harder for families to succeed. That’s why Elizabeth will fight to lower costs, increase Pennsylvania’s minimum wage, and bring good, family-sustaining jobs in the skilled trades back to our community.
